Do I Own My Web Site and Domain Name?
You own it all; web site, domain names, hosting account, the lot. Most web companies register domains in their own name so you have to pay their inflated prices every year to renew them. You then have to ask them to make any changes for you. Not at Planet.
At Planet Web Marketing, your two free domain names are registered in your name for one year. At the end of this year, if you want to move the names to another registrar, we will do it for you. (Note that transfer fees generally cost the same as renewal fees)
With your free year of hosting, you have full control of your site and email via cPanel. You can move it quickly and easily at any time (if you want to try finding another host of equal quality). On completion, you also get a full copy of your site in a zip file

All great Planet Web Marketing projects, big or small, start with a free telephone consultancy (we call you at our expense). Together, you and Planet decide and agree what is best for your site. You then receive a quotation and a summary, and on confirmation of your order we start work to produce the designs.

The best web site coders don't use web building software, they build a site using clean HTML code in a text editor. This ensures your web site is free from the extra clutter and redundant code most programs such as Frontpage and Dreamweaver stuff into every site.

How Long Does It Take To Create My Web Site?
Once Planet Web Marketing have the information and details from you, and so long as you can check and approve promptly, an average site will take around 4-6 weeks to complete. Web sites can be done quicker in an emergency, but remember that all Planet's web sites are bespoke and of high quality
How Much Does It Cost For Extras I Want Added During The Build Period?
Before you place your order, you will receive a full quotation detailing exactly what you will get, and how many pages are included. This will also include a cost for additional pages or forms.
As a web site develops, it is quite usual to think of extra items that could be included. Generally, these extra pages can always be left for a site update in the near future, once the web site has bedded in
How Many Changes Can I Have To My Web Site?
You can have as many changes as you want until you are happy, right up until you have agreed the site design (and before the copy and forms are added). Naturally, the more alterations you request, the longer the project will take.
Copywriting is limited to small edits or one major change. Once the site is finished and you have paid in full, you are given 15 days to request any final, small edits
How Does The Whole Process Work From Web Site Enquiry To Finished Web Site?
Stage one
Click the 'Request a free consultation' button (or here) and fill in the form with as much detail as you can. This enables Planet Web Marketing to do some research before contacting you at our expense, and at your convenience.
During your free consultation, you can discuss web site recommendations, possibilities, best practice, copywriting, design, online competitors, cost estimates, and anything else of relevance
Stage two
You receive a detailed quotation as per the consultation. Provided you are happy that Planet has interpreted your requirements correctly, you place your order with no payment at this stage
Stage three
You are offered two design concepts based upon the consultation and research. These two designs are further refined into one final design which, once you are satisfied, you select. At this point, you pay 50% of the initial quotation
Stage four
Your project copywriter, programmer and graphic designer 'populate' the pages with words, images, and forms. The results are placed live on our development server, so you can check and approve or request edits for each finished page as it appears.
Stage five
You are informed that the site is finished, and an invoice will be sent for the balance of payment
Stage six
Once the final payment is received, the site will have any copyright watermarks removed, and will be uploaded onto the final hosting server. You will be supplied with all relevant passwords along with any other information required, plus a full zipped copy of the finished web site
Stage seven
Once a customer of Planet Web Marketing, always a customer of Planet Web Marketing! You will always be welcome to ask questions and/or discuss updates at any time. You may also be sent occasional information by email with ongoing suggestions and recommendations to assist your online marketing efforts

Your new web site from Planet Web Marketing includes two top level domain names, registered for one year in your own name. We recommend you select a .com and also get the same name as a .co.uk. You can have as many domain names as you want, with extra names charged as £12 for a .com, .net or .org and £9.50 for a .co.uk
Planet can look after your domain names for you, and renew them when required.
What Is Hosting And Is It Different To The Domain Name?
Once you have a domain name, a web address, you need to have somewhere to actually put your web site. Hosting is placing your web site on a server that the internet can access 24/7 (unlike most PCs which are switched off at night).
